Registration is currently available for Boys and Girls 2nd-8th grade.

Meet our coaches:

Coach Kim Maxwell — Founder & Head Coach, AIP Basketball

Coach Kim Maxwell has been coaching youth basketball for over 10 years, working with players from kindergarten through eighth grade across both boys’ and girls’ programs. Her coaching journey has included successful stints with the Jr. Warriors and Jr. Suns leagues, as well as founding and running her own club teams in Tucson, Arizona, and now AIP Basketball in Fairfield, California.

Beyond team coaching, Coach Kim also provides private basketball skills training and speed and agility sessions designed to help athletes develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and athleticism on and off the court.

As a multi-sport athlete herself, Coach Kim played basketball, soccer, and track at the junior college level, before going on to play rugby at the University of Arizona. She was also a world-ranked obstacle course racer and served as an obstacle tester for American Ninja Warrior.

Today, she works as a Physical Therapist Assistant, combining her deep understanding of movement, strength, and injury prevention with her passion for coaching young athletes. Coach Kim’s goal is to make every session fun, challenging, and inspiring, teaching kids how to play the game the right way while building a lifelong love for basketball.
